I have to tell you a secret: Macaroni and Cheese is on the meh food list as a stand alone meal. It’s OKAY. I won’t starve if someone serves it to me. But it’s also not like one of those ohmigosh ohmigosh ohmigosh MAC AND CHEESE types of meals.
I obviously make exceptions, and this macaroni is one of them- My husband, who never ever eats seconds of anything…. he ate 3 servings of this one.
First of all, cheese. Second of all, truffle oil. Third of all, we need no more reasons.
I used Gigli pasta from Trader Joes, because it’s so much more dignified than elbow macaroni don’t you think?
And will you just look at these sexy mushrooms?
So get to the kitchen and make yourself some truffle mac! You won’t regret it!
