…..Eat some Spaghetti.

Spaghetti is a CROWD PLEASER, isn’t it? But April fools is upon us and might I suggest we get cracking with a few April fools jokes for the kiddos?

Spaghetti and meatball cupcakes ON DECK!

You can use any cupcake recipe you like for these, we’re focusing most on the execution here. If you’re looking for a good cake mix, I really like Food Stirs. I took my cake mix and mixed in a package of strawberry Jello and 1 c. of fresh strawberries for two reasons-

Because it’s delicious
Because I’m not frosting all of these cupcakes and I plan to feed the unfrosted ones to my kids for breakfast, wherein they will be called “strawberry muffins”. Life hack.

To turn these guys into the ultimate Spaghetti and Meatball cupcake, grab some tootsie rolls, Squish them into a more square-ish shape and roll them into…..

I whipped up a cream cheese frosting with 1/2 c. butter, 1 box of cream cheese, and 3 c. powdered sugar. I loaded it in the piping bag with a 6 or 7 tip. Here comes the fun, Go Wild! Spaghetti is wild and crazy and there is no rhyme or reason to the way they fall on a plate.

Once you have plenty of spaghetti, now it’s time to add the ‘marinara’ which can be easily accomplished with some raspberry jelly. My favorite brand is Bonne Maman.
